Short Description:
Black sea bass are grown in an aquaculture pilot project.
Black sea bass are decreasing in the waters off the Atlantic coast. Clark Atlanta University, in conjunction with Skidaway Institute of Oceanography created a pilot project to grow black sea bass in aquaculture. Using baby tilapia as food, and keeping the temperature in the tanks constant with solar heating and geothermal cooling, they were able to grow 2 lb black sea bass within one year.
